Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job Eastern Florida Coast | Late April/Early May Start + Ongoing

Jackson and Coker is partnered with a facility on the eastern Florida coast that needs a Cardiothoracic Surgeon to assist with weekend + holiday/vacation 24-hour call coverage starting in late March / early April 2026 and ongoing. Look forward to working with a well-staffed Heart Program that is passionate about promoting work-life balance and giving their Surgeons time off when possible AND the opportunity to have the first right of refusal to ongoing / additional coverage needs as they come up. 

Dates of coverage: 
* Seeking Friday at 7AM - Monday at 7AM weekend coverage each month (usually the 2nd weekend of each month)
* Thursday, 3/19 at 7AM - Monday, 3/30 at 7AM (Spring Break for the area)
* Proactively also wanting to arrange coverage on Christmas week, Monday, 12/21 at 7AM- Monday, 12/28 at 7AM

EMERGENCY PRIV REQUIREMENTS: 
- Must be able to provide two leadership references and one peer reference from the last 24 months (CMO, Chief of Staff, Medical Staff president, Surgery/ENT Dept. Chair, Cred. committee chair, etc.)
- Must be able to provide up to date case logs 
- Must have a clean background / no criminal history 

Details/Requirements for Assignment #113138:
-- Active Florida license + current DEA required
-- Seeking currently Board Certified Cardiothoracic Surgeons 
-- CT Surgery only, no vascular required/needed for this role
-- Inpatient call coverage will be for ED patients + at times, attached patients; Will be expected to round, see new consults + do emergent procedures 
-- Will have APP inpatient support that serve as 1st assist and do EVH 
-- Clinic has two CT Surgery APPs 
-- Facility is a designated level 2 trauma center -- has full trauma support staff
-- Patient volume will vary but between 5-10 PPD, 3-5 cases per week 
-- Facility detail: 490+ bed facility, designated level II trauma center, Athena EMR (will be transitioning to Epic EMR soon)
