General Surgery Locums Job in Vermont | Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call | Full Time | Beginning June 1 – Ongoing | Assignment #114076

Coverage Details
-- Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
-- Call ratio: 1:4
-- Weekend coverage may be required
-- Credentialing timeframe: 60–120 days

Requirements
-- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
-- Completion of general surgery residency program
-- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
-- Active Vermont medical license or Accepting IMLC eligibility candidates but must have VT DEA Providers must have FT 
-- DEA (must be obtained prior to start)
-- CPR for healthcare providers
-- BLS
-- Must be local
-- Clean malpractice history

Required Procedures / Skills
-- General surgical cases
-- Chest wall / pleural procedures
-- Chest tube insertion
-- Vascular surgery (abdominal)
-- Laparoscopic cholecystectomy
-- Hernioplasty
-- GI endoscopy (upper and lower, including colonoscopy)
-- Pediatric-trained procedures (if applicable):
---- Omphalocele
---- Umbilical defects
---- Imperforate anus

Assignment Details
-- Setting: Hospital-based + office / clinic
-- Average surgical cases per day: 1–3
-- Trauma level: Level 3
-- Operating rooms: 3 + procedure room
-- General surgeons in practice: 2 + new clinician
-- OR staff: CRNA, scrub techs, circulating nurses
-- Patient population: adolescent, adult, geriatric
-- EMR: Cerner
