General Orthopedic Practice close to the Outer Banks
Hospital (50 Beds) in N.C. is seeking to employ another full time Orthopedic Surgeon to join another with a Physician Assistant. Interest in Sports Medicine is a plus. City is located an hour and a half due east of Raleigh-Durham on I-64. It's between Albemarle Sound and Pamlico Sound, and is just thirty minutes from Greenville (pop. 67,000), which is the home of East Carolina University Medical School. With a cordial, small town lifestyle and good public schools, Williamston is a great place for family living.
Practice considerations include:
* The new physician would have call 10 days and back up the PA on 5 days. The hospital has a full time Anesthesiologist and a CRNA.
* Hospitalist service available
* ED visits in 2011 were 12,514 with minimal trauma.
* Hospital is exploring a Center of Excellence in Total Knee surgery with JCAHO and Blue Cross/Blue Shield
* Position available in 2012 or 2013
* Compensation will be commensurate with training and experience and will include a Base Salary and Incentive Plan. A Commencement Bonus, Relocation and CME allowances will be provided. Medical Education Debt Repayment assistance is available, if needed.
