Surgery-Pediatrics Hospital Based job located in South Carolina

Hospital seeking a locum BC Pediatric Surgeon to start end of December 2024
- Weekend Call Coverage needed: Friday (7a) -Monday (7a)
- Dates Needed: December 31st at 7am – January 6th at 7am. 
- They primarily want 21 weekends of weekend coverage, dates TBD for all of 2025
- Department Description: Pediatric surgery unit, includes neonatal surgery and ECMO cannulation. Pediatric Trauma for 14 years and under. Locum will need to be comfortable supervising other healthcare providers. 
- Support staff: 1 RN, 2 CMA, 2 front desk staff. 
- Pediatric specialties available for back up include: NICU, Gastro, Critical Care, Hospitalists, Neurosurgery, Urology, and Adult Surgery. Other back up specialties include: Cardio, Endo, Neuro, Nephrology, Infectious Disease, Hem/Onc, Ortho, Rheumatology, Pulmo. 
- Will be required to supervise others.
- Special Procedures Required: Central & Arterial lines, thoracentesis, chest tube insertions, needle pneumothorax, decompression, x-ray interpretation, suturing
- Special Procedures Preferred: Paracentesis
- EMR: EPIC
- Requirements: active SC license or ability to obtain one, DEA, ACLS, BLS, PALS, Flu vaccine
