Established HMO in Florida seeking primary care providers for their primary care offices as well as Urgent Care physicians;
Positions due to expansion of services--- this successful organization offers complete services in and around Volusia County for 45 years; currently have approximately 93,000 members; in recent years, they have expanded to the counties of St. Johns, Seminole, & Brevard. This organization is routinely appear in the US World News as one of the top health plans in the nation!
Positions due to expansion of services
Primary Care Physician (IM/FM) – Daytona Beach, FL
Office hours are 8-5, Monday – Friday, no weekends, 20-24 patients daily, outpatient only, limited call. A small amount of nursing home work is required. Salary range $225k+ bonus structure
The facility has 4 physicians, an Extended Hour Care Clinic with 1 Primary Care Physician & 2 PA’s, Practice Management, Pharmacy, Ultra Sound, X-Ray, Lab, Cardiology, Sports Medicine, Neuro, Ophthalmology all on-site.
Urgent Care Physician
Office hours are 7AM to 7PM Monday thruough Friday and 8AM-12PM on Saturday;
Positions involved three 12 hours shifts/one rotating Saturday month; positions will involve occasional floating at six clinics in Daytona Beach area
Three to five years Urgent Care/ER experience required
Ability to treat Urgent Care presentations: (etc.)
- Foreign body removal
- Laceration Repair – Suturing Skills
- Abscess I & D
- Diagnose, treat, & splint fractures
- DOT certification required within 30 days
- Professional examination experience (i.e. Firefighters, etc.)
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience (good typing & computer skills)
- Worker’s Comp experience preferred
- Great Customer Service and Communication skills with patients and their Primary Care Physicians
