Registered Nurse (RN) – PHCP Initial Application & Startup Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with knowledge of Georgia private home care requirements to assist with the Private Home Care Provider (PHCP) Initial Application and startup process through the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH).

This is a project-based consulting opportunity designed for an RN who understands the regulatory and operational requirements involved in establishing a private home care provider in Georgia and can help guide the agency through the initial licensing process.

Scope of the Initial Project

The selected RN will assist (Login for Information) with:

• Reviewing the current PHCP initial application requirements and identifying required documentation.
• Providing guidance regarding the clinical and nursing components of the initial application.
• Reviewing policies, procedures, forms, and supporting documentation for alignment with applicable Georgia requirements.
• Assisting with preparation and organization of materials required for the PHCP application.
• Identifying potential gaps or compliance issues before submission.
• Providing guidance regarding nursing services, clinical oversight, and applicable PHCP requirements.
• Assisting with questions or follow-up related to the application process as needed.
• Collaborating with the agency's ownership and administrative team throughout the startup process.
• Helping establish a strong clinical and regulatory foundation for the agency as it moves toward operations.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an RN who has:

• An active and unrestricted Georgia Registered Nurse license.
• Familiarity with Georgia Department of Community Health requirements and private home care regulations.
• Previous experience with PHCP, home care, home health, private duty, nursing, or related healthcare operations strongly preferred.
• Understanding of clinical documentation, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• The ability to independently review requirements and identify what is needed for a successful application.
• Professional communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with business owners and administrative leadership.
• Experience assisting healthcare organizations with startup, licensing, accreditation, compliance, or regulatory preparation is highly desirable.

Project Structure

This is initially a short-term, project-based engagement focused on helping (Login for Information) complete and prepare for the PHCP initial application process.

The RN will be compensated for their professional time and expertise. The exact scope, project timeline, and compensation will be discussed with qualified candidates.

Opportunity for Continued Work

Our goal is to establish a professional relationship that can potentially continue beyond the initial licensing project.

Once (Login for Information) is operational, there may be opportunities for ongoing RN contract work, including clinical consultation, care oversight, policy and compliance support, quality assurance, and other nursing-related responsibilities as the agency grows.

The initial project is therefore an opportunity to establish a working relationship with a growing home care organization, with the potential for a longer-term professional partnership.
