(Login for Information) is an all-MD private practice (no supervision of CRNAs or AAs) servicing two 5-OR sites in San Francisco: UCSF Hyde Hospital and UCSF Stanyan Hospital. Case mix includes general, ortho, plastics, urology, gyn, transgender, burn, and spine. Hyde houses a burn center doing mostly low-risk cases. No OB and no hearts.
Full-time or part-time (0.5-1.0 FTE). Compensation $600,000-$700,000 (full-time); part-time prorated. Start: January 2027 preferred; flexible for the right candidate.
Lifestyle: Our anesthesiologists work roughly 40-50 hours per week. Call is from home with a 30-minute callback window, every sixth night first call and every sixth night second call. It is exceedingly rare to be working overnight. We emphasize work-life balance.
Partnership: Full partnership pay from day one. One year to full partner.
Requirements: Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology. California medical license (or eligible).
