This 359-bed regional medical center provides comprehensive emergency, surgical, cardiovascular, orthopedic, and specialty care services. The facility serves as a major referral center for patients throughout a four-state region and maintains the clinical resources and established protocols necessary to support inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on an on-site basis. Infrastructure is in place to ensure continuity of cardiac care delivery throughout each designated coverage period.

About the Clinician's Workday

Clinicians will provide inpatient interventional cardiology and EMTALA call coverage on a 24-hour call basis, working 3-7 days per month alongside an established interventional cardiology team. Clinical responsibilities include performing cardiac catheterizations, coronary angiograms, angioplasty, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), as well as responding to all hospital cardiology calls and providing general cardiology consultations as needed. Clinicians are also required to interpret EKGs, echocardiograms, and stress tests, including nuclear studies, throughout each assigned coverage period. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology and prescriptive authority are required for consideration.
