Job Description
Seeking a Locum Interventional Cardiology Physician
--Practice Setting: Inpatient/Call
--Staffed Onsite (Weekdays): Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
--On-Call (Weekday Evenings): Monday – Friday, 5:00 PM – 7:00 AM
--On-Call (Weekends): Saturday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM
--Potential for some rounding responsibility. Call volume (not many STEMIs - 159 activations in 2025 with a 47% cancellation rate). Providers will receive more phone calls while on-call more than call back as the emergent call backs (STEMIs) are a little less than every other day.
--Call Schedule: STEMI call is aligned with unassigned call, and noninvasive coverage.
--Average Number of Inpatient Admissions Per Physician Per Day: >2 daily
--Trauma Level/Designation: none
--Total Number of Beds: 250
--Number of ICU Beds: 30
--Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during assignment
--Not required to supervise other healthcare providers
--Patient Age Demographic: Adult, geriatric
--EMR: EPIC
--Procedures Required: Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, Atherectomy
--Required: Board Certification, VA license, BLS, ACLS, NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days, clean malpractice
