The facility maintains advanced cardiac and stroke care capabilities, supported by established clinical protocols and the infrastructure necessary to sustain inpatient interventional cardiology coverage. Clinical operations are structured on-site to ensure continuity of high-quality cardiac care delivery throughout each assigned coverage period.

Virginia offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and water-based activities, including kayaking, hiking, biking, horseback riding, and boat tours, alongside beaches and golf courses. The state also provides cultural and historical experiences, with art exhibits, music performances, heritage events, and working historical sites such as distilleries. Clinicians will find varied options for both recreation and exploration during time away from clinical responsibilities.

Clinicians will provide inpatient interventional cardiology coverage on-site, working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overnight and weekend call responsibilities required as a condition of this assignment. Clinical duties include managing adult patients, performing procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary angioplasty, and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCIs), and rounding on inpatient cardiology patients. On-call coverage primarily involves phone consultations, with emergent callbacks required for STEMI activations. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology and prescriptive authority are required for consideration.
