Position Highlights
- Dedicated overnight schedule (8pm - 6am)
- 90 to 120 hours per month
- 16-bed emergency department
- Approximately 22,000 annual ED visits
- Medium- to high-acuity patient population
- Level II Trauma Center
- Cerner EMR
- 17% admission rate
- Strong specialty backup, including: cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, OB/GYN, pediatrics, psychiatry, gastroenterology, vascular surgery, and more
- Floor codes required
- Credentialing typically completed in approximately 90 days
Compensation and Benefits
- Independent Contractor (1099) status, must have S-Corp in CA
- Competitive compensation with an estimated salary range of $180 - $210 hourly with the opportunity to earn incentives
- Paid professional liability insurance with tail coverage
Qualifications
- Board certified or board eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM/AOBEM) preferred
- Active California medical license, or ability to obtain prior to start
- Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
- Demonstrated recent EM practice meeting hospital privileging requirements
