One of the few large cities in Iowa with hills, it is a major tourist destination, attracted to the city's unique architecture and river location. Also, it is home to five institutions of higher education, making it a center for culture and learning.
ED Physician – Hospital employed
RVU bonus based on productivity
The annual Volume and acuity level is about 26,000 patients/year – about 15% of patients are admitted by hospitalists
Must the be Emergency Med Residency or FP with ER expedience such as FP with 2000+ hours in a similar trauma center as ours.
Hours are about 144 hours/month. They can split the shifts however they want. Scheduling is done a request basis – so everyone “requests” shifts and the Director tries to accommodate and then fills in gaps.
