Shift Details
-- 24-hour shifts (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 a.m.)

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine with Emergency Medicine experience
-- Active Illinois medical license or eligible through the IMLC pathway
-- Illinois Controlled Substance Permit (CSP)
-- DEA license
-- BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS 

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Endotracheal intubation, including difficult airways
-- Chest tube insertion
-- Central venous line placement
-- Cardioversion/defibrillation
-- Code and resuscitation leadership
-- Lumbar puncture
-- Procedural sedation
-- Fracture/dislocation reduction
-- Arterial line placement
-- Paracentesis
-- Thoracentesis
-- Laceration repair
-- Splinting/casting
-- Incision and drainage
-- Foley catheter placement
-- Peripheral IV placement
-- EKG interpretation

Assignment Details
-- Critical Access Hospital
-- Non-Trauma facility
-- Approximately 8,000 emergency department visits annually
-- 1 MD onsite at all times
-- Supported by experienced RNs and ER support staff
-- 6-bed Emergency Department
-- Emergency and temporary privileges available for qualified Illinois-licensed providers
-- Hospital serves an agriculture-based community located near a major freeway, resulting in a broad mix of emergency cases including trauma typical to rural and highway-adjacent regions
