Shift Details
-- 12-hour, 11-hour, and 8-hour shifts available
-- Shift options: 7pm-7am, 1pm-9pm, 3pm-11pm
-- Weekend coverage required
Requirements
-- Active Massachusetts license highly preferred
-- ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency)
-- BLS, ACLS, ATLS
-- Clean background for quick credentialing
-- Provider must be local; no flights
-- Self-Query NPDB (pulled within the month)
Assignment Details
-- Trauma Level: III
-- Total number of beds: 32
-- Annual ER volume: 55,000
-- EMR: Meditech
-- Physician is not responsible for codes
-- Admissions are performed by the hospitalist or admitting service
-- APP coverage available
-- 30% of ED patients admitted to the hospital per day
-- On-call physician response time requirement: 30 minutes
-- Deliveries are sent directly to Labor & Delivery
-- ED is responsible for monitoring/supervising paramedics and ambulance by radio
-- Highest need is for night shifts
