Job Description
Seeking Emergency Medicine Department Chair
--Work schedule: 48-72 hrs/mth clinical, remainder administrative.
--Responsibilities: Chair/oversee the entire ED & Peds ED from the operations to the academic component (residency & fellowships), interface with all departments in the hospital and C-suite.
--Level 1 Trauma Center
--Annual ED Volume: 110,000 (including Pediatrics)
--120 modernized treatment areas
--Recently renovated, improved and expanded ED with the latest technology specialized treatment areas, triage, intake, behavioral health, in both its adult and pediatric areas
--Fast Track
--Geratric services
--Certified Autism Center (IBCCES)
--Children’s Hospital and Pediatric ED
--EMS control with hospital-based specialty transport transfer and helicopter
program
--Advanced Practice Provider and Scribe coverage
--Epic EMR
--APPs work in the ED alongside attendings and residents and staff our observation unit.
--PPH: Varies by area of department but generally 1.93-2.00 as a whole
--Patient Beds: 756 inpatient beds, over 100 beds and treatment spots in ED
--Radiology, labs and imaging: All modalities (US, CT, MRI)
--575K-625K total compensation
--Required:
- BC/EM (ABEM or AOBEM). EM residency trained. New Jersey license (ultimately)
- 15 years of ED Director & ED Academic experience.
- Must be able to start as soon as credentialed, which would be 3-4 months for hospital privileges.
