Shift Description
-- Providers who can commit to 6–12 shifts per month
-- 8-hour and 10-hour shifts available; 12-hour shifts offered based on volume
-- Available shifts: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM, 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM
Requirements
-- Active New York license
-- Board Certified Emergency Medicine (ABEM)
-- ATLS + ACLS
-- Recent experience in a high-volume community emergency department with the ability to practice independently and manage a full patient load with minimal supervision preferred
Assignment Details
-- 24-hour APP support
-- Single and double coverage MD shifts
-- 65 hospital beds
-- Annual volume: 35,000
-- Level III trauma facility
-- PPD: 95
-- No admitting, rounding, or supervising responsibilities; hospitalists handle admissions
-- Providers are expected to respond to all Emergency Medicine codes
-- Peak coverage months are April, May, June, July, and August
-- Temporary privileges available
-- EMR: Epic
