Emergency Medicine Director Position - Hudson Valley/Poughkeepsie area

Seeking an Emergency Medicine Site Medical Director 
--Lead a high volume, award winning Emergency Department
--55,000 annual patient volume, 15-20% pediatric volume
--23 ED beds
--8 Fast Track beds
--Level III Trauma Center
--53 hours of physician coverage
--37 hours of Advanced Practice Provider coverage
--EPIC EMR
--Number of physicians:13 full-time physicians
--Number of APPs: 9 full-time APPs
--Ability to work in high acuity/trauma center
--Hospital is embarking on a new-build ER
--Strong mix of talent among physician group – example, recently hired two EM physicians who will serve in Ultrasound Education roles
--Teaching opportunities with IM residency rotations
--Strong data analytics support
--13 full-time physicians,  9 full-time APPs
--PPH: Currently 2.3 but purposely decreasing to 2.00 when new staffing model of 53 MD/day and 37 APP is implemented, which is occurring October 1
--Nursing Support: Variable, mix of experienced and new nurses. Hospital recently created a new onboarding program, which will help onboard new nurses. Nursing Leadership is committed to improving processes and the Medical Director will be ingrained to helping align nursing with EM clinicians to improve the overall Emergency Department
-- EM trained and boarded, around 5 years of ED director experience required
--$375,000-475,000
--Start Date Bonus: $60K for a two-year commitment. 
--Base Compenastion of $225/hour and a $15/hour night diff, so $225/hr days and $240 nights

--SMD Stipend of $290K/year
--10K reimbursed for moving expenses
--Strength of staffing will allow lower clinical hours requirement (minimum 48 to maximum 72 hours monthly) for the SMD, allowing focus on processes, strategy, metric improvement, and clinical excellence.
