Job Description
Houston area facility seeking a locum Emergency Medicine Physician to start November 2025
Duration: 3-6 months
Shift times: 6a-6p, 6p-6a
Any experience level, non-EM boarded who are comfortable with gyn and peds patients accepted.
Census: 30-40 patients/day, 15,000-16000 pts per year
4-5 patients per day or ~ 13% admission rate from ED
Standard call services, pediatrics.
Low acuity. This is not a trauma, stroke, or cardiac center. Few EMS.
Standard ED nursing and support staff. L&D located in hospital and separate from ED. Pediatrician on shift in ED during peak hours.
Common cases: Low to mid acuity, GI symptoms, gyn, peds
2 ED physicians and 1 pediatrician are scheduled per day.
Board certified EM or FM preferred
