This correctional facility delivers outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to adult patients within a secure government clinical environment in Alaska. The facility operates with established protocols suited to corrections-based healthcare delivery and maintains on-site support staff including an NP, nursing staff, and nurse supervisors to ensure clinicians do not work alone at any time. Credentialing for this position is estimated at approximately one week.

The area surrounding this facility is located less than an hour from Anchorage, Alaska, offering access to a range of outdoor and cultural attractions. Anchorage and the surrounding region provide opportunities for hiking in Chugach State Park, access to glaciers, rail travel to destinations across the state, and exploration of Alaska's indigenous heritage at sites such as Eklutna Village, located approximately 30 miles from downtown. Clinicians on assignment may also find art galleries, food tours, ski areas, lake shuttles, bike and hike tours along Cook Inlet, and sport fishing hatcheries within approximately an hour of the city, with additional options available in nearby communities such as Eagle River.

Clinicians will provide outpatient and clinic-based primary care services to adult patients in a correctional facility setting in Alaska, working four 10-hour day shifts per week. The expected caseload is 8-12 patients per day, with additional responsibilities including the review of outside medical records and laboratory results. No call coverage is required for this assignment. Required credentials include an active Alaska license, DEA registration, a clear background check, and prescriptive authority; board certification is negotiable.
