Job Description
A stable, well-established health system in Albany, Georgia is seeking a hospice & palliative care fellowship-trained physician to join its team as medical director. This permanent leadership opportunity offers the chance to oversee hospice and palliative care services while working alongside a collaborative interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. The role includes clinical oversight, hospice certification and recertification, quality initiatives, consultation support for providers and care teams, and direct patient care focused on symptom management and end-of-life care. The ideal candidates are passionate about improving quality of life for patients with serious illness while providing clinical leadership within a growing program. Please note: This is a permanent employed position only. No locums, PRN, or part-time opportunities are available. Visa sponsorship is not available. - Hospice/palliative fellowship trained
- Inpatient position within the hospital and hospice homes
- Collaborate with team physicians and referring providers to coordinate care.
- All days - Monday through Friday
- Peer review- review quality of documentation of physicians and mid-levels
- Ensure appropriate pain control consistent with current hospice and palliative standards
- Leadership experience preferred
