About the Clinician's Workday

Clinicians will provide outpatient primary care services to an adult student population (predominantly ages 17 and older) at a student health center in New York, working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM with a 1-hour lunch break. The expected caseload is 8-10 patients per day, with volume expected to increase during respiratory season; cases include general family medicine presentations such as concussions and eating concerns. Clinicians must maintain availability after hours and on weekends for unexpected critical items related to diagnostic testing, as each clinician is responsible for responding to critical lab result calls for tests they have ordered. Required credentials include a current NYS license, infection control certification, current BLS certification, annual flu vaccination, and prescriptive authority; a minimum of 3 years of outpatient experience and the ability to manage patient care within the facility setting are preferred.
