  • 24-hour call shifts -- 5 - 11 shifts per month
  • Call ratio 1:3 -- 30-minute response time required
  • 0 - 6 patients per shift -- rounding on assigned patients
  • Inpatient gastroenterology practice setting
  • Upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy required
  • PEG, esophageal dilatation, small bowel biopsy, and sigmoidoscopy required
  • Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management required
