Job Description
As the Bel Air office is slated to open May/June 2027, initial training will take place at the hospital in Wilmington, DE.
Primary responsibilities may include comprehensive patient assessments including history and physical examinations; formulating assessment and treatment plans of pediatric patients; ordering diagnostic tests; performing procedures such as pin removal, suturing and suture removal; splinting and cast application, splint and cast removal; joint injection or aspiration; manipulative fracture reduction; communicating with physicians about changes in patient's clinical condition and results of diagnostic studies; educating parents/caregivers on patient condition and plan of care; triaging and responding to phone calls from patient families, physical therapists, insurance companies, and others regarding patient care; accurately recording patient information in the electronic medical record; communicating effectively with appropriate medical staff for purposes of consultation, referral, and coordination of patient care.

Qualifications
- Current Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants/Current appropriate national certification as a pediatric nurse practitioner
- Clear and active license as a Physician Assistant in Delaware, Delaware (or compact state) RN licensure & Delaware APRN Licensure
- Active Maryland licensure preferred but can be obtained once hired.
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- One to three years of experience required; pediatric experience preferred
