Job Description

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Physician with a strong clinical focus in Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (BMT/CT) to join our growing multidisciplinary program. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the diagnosis and management of children, adolescents, and young adults undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapies for malignant and non-malignant hematologic disorders.

This physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes pediatric oncologists, transplant specialists, advanced practice providers, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and research professionals. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical and translational research, quality improvement initiatives, and the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert clinical care for pediatric patients undergoing bone marrow and stem cell transplantation.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with hematologic malignancies, solid tumors, bone marrow failure syndromes, immunodeficiencies, hemoglobinopathies, and other conditions requiring cellular therapies or transplantation.
  • Deliver inpatient and outpatient care across the continuum of transplant treatment, including pre-transplant evaluation, transplant management, and long-term survivorship follow-up.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinics and collaborative care conferences.
  • Contribute to the development and growth of the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy program.
  • Collaborate with clinical research teams and participate in institutional, cooperative group, translational, and clinical research initiatives.
  • Engage in quality, safety, and process improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Teach and mentor medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in call coverage and other departmental responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

  • M.D., D.O., or equivalent medical degree.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
  • Eligibility for Florida medical license

Preferred
  • Additional training, experience, or demonstrated interest in Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy.
  • Experience caring for patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
  • Participation in clinical, translational, or outcomes-based research.
  • Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and communication skills.
