This cancer center, attached to an acute care hospital, provides specialized hematology and oncology services within a structured on-site outpatient setting. The facility operates with a dedicated clinical support team that includes two APPs in the clinic, one APP in the infusion center, and two nurses to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery. Established clinical protocols are in place to support quality hematologic and oncologic care throughout the covered assignment period.

The area offers a range of outdoor and cultural attractions suited to varied interests. Outdoor recreation options include hiking and biking at Haig Mill Lake Park and Rocky Face Ridge, as well as disc golf and miniature golf for those seeking family-friendly activities. Clinicians on assignment may also explore historic sites such as Prater's Mill and the Dalton Freight Depot, along with local dining, breweries, and arts venues. Those with an interest in regional history will find nearby sites connected to Cherokee heritage and Civil War history.

Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a primary focus on the infusion center and no call obligations required. The clinical scope encompasses the evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions within an outpatient setting, managing 5-7 patients per day. Inpatient consultations are required only when the attending physician is unavailable, as designated. All clinical documentation must be maintained through the EPIC EMR system; orientation support is available for clinicians who are not familiar with the system.
