About the Facility

This cancer institute provides specialized medical oncology services in both inpatient and clinic settings, supported by a team of six APPs, including a resource APP, and registered nurse physician support. The facility maintains 28 infusion chairs and structured clinical workflows to support coordinated oncologic care delivery. Clinical operations are designed to ensure quality patient care for the adult oncology population across all assigned coverage periods.

About the Clinician's Workday

A board-certified Medical Oncologist is required for locum tenens inpatient and clinic coverage, with services delivered Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM on a full-time basis. The clinician will manage 20-25 new and follow-up adult medical oncology patients per day, with clinical scope limited to medical oncology; acute leukemia and bone marrow transplants are excluded from this assignment. Call coverage is required one weekend per month, with the possibility of one weekday call shift per month. Six APPs, including a resource APP, and RN physician support are on-site; APPs perform bone marrow biopsies under physician oversight, and no additional procedures are required of the clinician.
