hematologist-oncologist to join a highly collaborative, physician-led oncology program in Evansville, Indiana. This opportunity is designed for physicians who want to build and grow a subspecialty-focused practice while benefiting from strong institutional support, advanced technology, and a multidisciplinary care model. You will practice in an environment that prioritizes innovation, team-based care, and long-term program development, with plans underway for a new comprehensive cancer center opening in 2028. This role offers both immediate clinical impact and the ability to shape the future direction of oncology services.
Opportunity Highlights
- $550,000 base salary + productivity and quality incentives
- $50,000 sign-on bonus + relocation assistance
- 36 clinical hours per week (4.5-day schedule)
- Minimum 50% subspecialty focus with ability to build a niche practice
- Sub specialization support in:
- Lung/thoracic oncology
- Head and neck oncology
- Melanoma and sarcoma
- Neuro-oncology
- Malignant hematology and cellular therapy
- Opportunity for disease-site leadership and program development
- Epic electronic medical record (EMR) with Beacon oncology module and AI-enabled documentation tools
- Multidisciplinary care model with dedicated tumor boards across disease sites
- Strong support team: advanced practice providers (APPs), oncology pharmacists, nurse navigators
- Light call structure with APP-first model and 1:8 physician backup rotation
- New comprehensive cancer center scheduled for 2028
