Locum Hematology/Oncology Assignment - Central Ohio
Job Description
Out-Patient Clinic is seeking Locum Hematology/Oncology physician to provide coverage starting 4/06/2026
- 3 days per month (over 1 week period)
- Office coverage. Weekdays. 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch
- Adults only
- No call
- 60% Hematology / 40% Oncology
- No procedural duties are required.
- Daily duties: seeing any new patients that would need chemotherapy as well as blood disorders, formalizing the plan per NCCN guidelines, placing orders into the system and managing orders for reauthorizations
- Most common oncology cases: breast and colon
- 2 APPs, 1 Radiation Oncologist, and a dedicated RN to assist the locum physician
- Typical patient volume is 14-18 patients, with no more than 3 new patients each day
- Board Certified Medical Oncology; Hematology Oncology highly preferred
- ACLS required if requesting Moderate Sedation privileges
- 1+ years of experience rounding on cancer patients in a medical oncology dept
