This cancer center is affiliated with a large hospital system and provides specialized hematology and oncology services across inpatient and outpatient settings. The facility maintains a clinical support team that includes full-time and part-time physicians as well as administrative staff to facilitate coordinated patient care delivery. Clinical documentation is managed through a combination of paper charting and an EMR system, supported by a Dragon dictation system.

Providence offers a range of dining, cultural, and recreational activities suited to varied interests. The city features food truck gatherings, guided food and history walking tours, boat tours along the Providence River, and outdoor fitness classes at 195 District Park. Clinicians on assignment may also explore the local creative scene, hands-on experiences such as glass blowing and ice cream making classes, outdoor film screenings, and family-friendly programming throughout the area.

Clinicians will provide inpatient and outpatient hematology and oncology coverage on-site in Providence, Rhode Island, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with inpatient rounding conducted in the latter half of the day. Patient volume ranges from 12 to 20 encounters per day, with a ramp-up period provided; typical consult appointments are 45 minutes and follow-up appointments are 15 minutes, with flexibility based on clinician preference. Call coverage is required on a 1:1 rotation, consisting of one week and one weekend per month. Hospital privileges are required, and prescriptive authority is required for this assignment.
