Job Description
New England Cancer Specialists (NECS)—Maine's largest independent oncology and hematology practice—seeks a Board-Certified (or Eligible) Hematologist to join its highly successful, physician-led group. As a private practice and affiliate member of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, NECS offers the best of both worlds: autonomy, strong infrastructure, and access to cutting-edge research, tumor boards, precision medicine, and clinical trials.
The Practice
Competitive compensation based on MGMA median ($550K+ base + wRVU bonus)
4 clinic days + 1 administrative day
Exceptional team support and collegial culture (APPs, Nurse Navigator, and Schedulers)
Manageable volume: 12-16 patients/day once ramped
Low-burden call: 1:16 rotation, APPs take first call—just a handful of calls per year
Two months PTO + CME
BC/BE in Hematology required
