(Login for Information) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Palliative System Medical Director.
Lead the planning, organization, and direction of the Palliative Medicine Program by bringing a collaborative, innovative approach to program administration, quality improvement, networking, and community engagement.
OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW:
- Split time between inpatient clinical work and administrative responsibilities focused on program development
- Inpatient coverage focused on complex ICU care (ICUs: General Medical/MedSurg, Cardio, Neuro)
- Monday – Friday, occasional weekend coverage
- Hospice call coverage 1:6 (call only)
- Collaborative working relationship with the hospitalist team
- Palliative fellowship and experience in Palliative Care/Hospice required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with a dedicated, experienced clinical services administrator Nurse Practitioner on program strategy, growth, and development
- Act as a liaison between Administration and the Medical Staff, ensuring smooth communication and alignment
- Oversee performance measurement, quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, and referral management
- Drive strategic program growth and development as the program expands its reach
- Take on a leadership role within a clinically active and well-supported Palliative Medicine Program
- Collaborate with visionary leadership and an expert multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care across Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota
