Hospitalist Position - Rochester, NY area
Job Description
Hospital seeking Hospitalist Physician
--Current Work Schedule: typically mostly Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (days), plus participation in a swing shift rotation (1-9pm, and 4pm-Midnight) which is shared by all faculty in the group; faculty also share weekend coverage
--Potentially open to other models of block scheduling (i.e. 7 on/7 off)
--Also recruiting for Nocturnists (ideally, alternating between nights and swing shifts)
--Call: all faculty participate in pager call from home, 6 days/year (one day every other month); this call coverage is all included in regularly scheduled hours
--Staffing: About 17 MDs/shift (weekdays), plus Residents and APPs; 13 MDs/shift (weekends)
--Census/Patient Volume: 14-15 pts/shift (week days), and 16-17 pts/shift (weekends) – goal to reduce as we recruit more faculty
--Closed ICU setting w/ support from all medical/surgical subspecialties available (including Pulmonary Critical Care, Anesthesiology, Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Geriatrics, Hospice Palliative Care, etc.)
--No procedures required but flexible based on individual interests/skill set.
--Outstanding mentorship and culture – cohesive, collaborative faculty group. Academic mentorship available, including opportunities for research, quality improvement, etc. Community setting w/ strong clinical presence – ample opportunities for professional growth.
