Local hospital seeks to expand the department by adding another inpatient specialist. Work schedule consists of one week on followed by one week off, from 7am to 7pm with intermittent nocturnist rotation. Hospitalist rotations run from Friday morning through the following Thursday. The Hospitalists cover inpatient rounds, admissions, discharges, and consults. Acute care facility provides the entire family with state-of-the-art medical care. Services include adult and pediatric services, level I birthing center, a 24-hour ER department, heart services, a cancer center and an excellent ICU/CCU. This colorful and family orient community offers miles of shorelines on Lake Michigan and an abundance of recreation activities for the whole family.
