This inpatient facility provides infectious disease services within an established clinical environment and maintains the infrastructure necessary to support coordinated specialty care delivery. The facility operates with structured clinical protocols and support systems designed to facilitate effective inpatient patient management. Appropriate on-site resources are in place to support clinicians throughout each assigned coverage period.

The area is situated along the coast of Southwest Florida and offers clinicians on assignment access to a range of outdoor and cultural experiences. Recreational options include paddling the Great Calusa Blueway Paddling Trail, exploring nature preserves, and spending time at nearby beaches and coastal parks. A downtown district featuring dining, shops, and cultural events - including ArtFest and the American Sand Sculpting Championship - rounds out the leisure options available during time away from clinical responsibilities.

The infectious disease physician will provide inpatient coverage on weekdays and weekends from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, as well as on-call coverage from Friday at 4:00 PM through Monday at 8:00 AM. Clinicians will manage approximately 25 patients per day, delivering specialized infectious disease evaluation and management throughout all designated coverage periods. Call coverage is a required component of this assignment, and board certification in Infectious Disease is required for consideration.
