Pennsylvania - Infectious Disease
Medical Center is currently recruiting an Infectious Disease/Internal Medicine Physician to join it’s growing practice. Opportunity to provide Infectious Disease care as well as some Internal Medicine services… 50%-75% ID with remainder workload being Internal Medicine. Infectious Disease nurses located within ID office within hospital.
Current responsibilities include:
•Inpatient consultations (5-10/day)
•Outpatient consultations (10/day)
•Telemedicine – currently at one nursing home with requests to add services at other nursing homes
•Nursing Home visits every week
•Wound Care (one day per week)
•Travel Medicine
Proposed new services:
•Hepatitis C Clinic
•Additional telemedicine at nursing homes
•Additional onsite nursing home visits
The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Infectious Disease and willing to incorporate some Internal Medicine in the practice. New graduates as well as experienced physicians are welcome to apply.
Teaching opportunities are available with medical students from College of Osteopathic Medicine as well as with our AOA Internship and Family Medicine Residency Program.
Medical Center is a 235-bed regional medical center with a service area of 100,000 offering our community excellent healthcare. We have a medical staff of over 140 physicians representing 37 medical and surgical specialties. Also currently pursuing level 3 trauma certification.
Teaching opportunities are available through our Osteopathic Family and Manipulative Medicine residency program.
