This inpatient facility operates a critical care unit with 10 beds, of which 8 are currently open, supporting adult patients requiring ICU-level management. The unit is equipped with a glidescope and maintains established coverage arrangements with the ED and Anesthesia department to support intubation procedures. Clinical protocols and on-site resources are in place to facilitate coordinated critical care delivery throughout the assignment period.

Clinicians will provide on-site inpatient critical care coverage on a 24-hour shift structure, with day coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM and on-call coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM; 24-hour shifts are preferred but not required. The typical patient census ranges from 6 to 8 patients within a unit operating 8 of 10 available beds. Required procedures include central lines, arterial lines, thoracentesis, chest tube placement, and paracentesis; intubation support is available through the ED and Anesthesia, with a glidescope available in the unit. Board certification is required for all clinicians considered for this locum tenens assignment.
