Illinois Geriatrics Opportunity Offering Up to $315k Base Pay

This regional healthcare system in a Midwestern college town with a service area of more than 3.2 million is seeking a Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine physician to join their skilled nursing facility practice as a rounder. Join four Geriatricians who support nursing home rounds, along with seven APPs and three full-time nursing staff. Globally connected, innovative and culturally rich, this metro of about 240K is centrally located to Chicago, Indianapolis and St. Louis.Up to $315K base salary.  Primary responsibilities include overseeing patient care at area nursing homes in post acute care, long term care, and assisted living/memory care.  Planned schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m..  Part-time positions available.  Family Medicine or Internal Medicine candidates with significant Geriatrics experience or a fellowship trained Geriatrician candidate are welcome to apply. Hospital practice is not required.  You will be on call for your nursing home patients during the workday week as needed however APPs handle majority of calls.  Physicians rotate MD backup call" between the fiyr Geriatricians serving as a resource to APPs as needed for nights/weekends.  Opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the local medical school.  Opportunity to teach Internal Medicine residents.  Optional opportunity to moonlight at urgent care clinic for extra income.  EPIC EMR.  Generous benefits package.
