Seeking a full time Family/internal medicine Physician Waite Park, Minnesota
Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician will treat:
- Acute injuries such as ankle sprains, joint injuries, dislocations and non-surgical fractures
- Overuse injuries including stress fractures, tendonitis and osteoarthritis
- Traumatic brain injuries or concussions
- Helping athletes with acute illnesses (mononucleosis, asthma)
- Nutrition
- Exercise prescriptions for people who want to become more active
- Injury prevention
- Chronic pain
- “Return to play” decisions for injured or ill athletes
- Pre-participation physical examinations
- Exercise promotion
The ideal candidate will have training:
Musculoskeletal medicine to include fracture care, non-surgical techniques, MSK Ultrasound and concussion management.
Requirements include state of Minnesota medical licensure and board eligibility/board certification in Non-Surgical Sports Medicine.
Experience in Regenerative therapies including: Prolo, PRP and Stem Cells is ideal
Practice Specifics
- Patient volume variable, 8-22 patients per day
- Team sports and mass participation sports coverage
- Assisted by ATC, CMA, and LPN
- Outpatient Practice
- No Call
- Outreach 1-2 days per week
- 1-2 Saturdays per month and extended hours for urgent orthopedic care
