(Login for Information) is adding a Primary Care Physician to its North Texas network. This physician will specialize in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine and provide comprehensive care to patients. This role may work independently or with the support of an Advanced Practice Provider.
Immediate openings in Pilot Point, TX.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Provides general medical care and treatment to patients.
- Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and address patients’ clinical challenges and healthcare needs.
- Records physical findings and formulates treatment plans based on patients’ conditions.
- Prescribes or recommends medications or other forms of treatment such as physical therapy, inhalation therapy, or related therapeutic procedures.
- Refer patients to specialized health resources for treatment.
- Cultivate a culture of trust and compassion for patients.
- Remain current with developments and best medical practices and maintain Continuing Medical Education Units.
- Provide clinical guidance to junior physicians/medical doctors, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited Doctor of Medicine (MD) Program or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) Program.
- Meets the requirements of the Texas Medical Board.
- Licensed to practice medicine without restrictions within the State of Texas.
- Current DEA/DPS registration.
- Current CPR certification.
- Current ACLS certification.
- At least two (2) years of primary care practice.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in patient care management.
- Experience using EHR/EMR systems.
- Strong community health interest.
- Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, symptoms, and epidemiology.
- Broad knowledge of medications, side effects, and contraindications.
- In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and best practices.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member .
- Ability to function independently.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and initiative.
