Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician Locums Job in Michigan | M-F 8:00 AM-6:00 PM + Call | Beginning January 1 - Ongoing | Assignment #116895

Coverage Details
-- January 1, 2027 – January 24, 2027, full-time coverage
-- After January, anticipated recurring coverage approximately twice monthly
-- Credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days

Shift Details
-- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM
-- Night call coverage weekdays
-- 24-hour call coverage weekends, including phone consults
-- In-house weekday coverage across outpatient ultrasound and inpatient consult needs
-- In-house Thursday-Friday coverage
-- Call coverage Saturday-Sunday
-- Call back is very minimal, approximately one callback per call shift if any

Requirements
-- Board Certified
-- Michigan License or IMLC
-- BLS
-- ACLS
-- Must be able to perform required job procedures

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Amniocentesis
-- Cerclage, including rescue cerclage
-- External cephalic version (ECV)
-- Chorionic villus sampling (CVS) - Preferred

Assignment Details
-- Level III NICU
-- L&D/Inpatient volume: 0-5 patients per day, averaging 2 patients daily
-- Approximately 3,000 deliveries annually
-- Maternal-Fetal Medicine service supports both high-risk and low-risk obstetric patients
-- Primary coverage at hospital location with potential outpatient coverage at a secondary location as needed
-- Secondary location coverage is outpatient only with Tuesday/Thursday half-day clinic
-- One sonographer onsite
-- One ultrasound machine
-- Up to 8 ultrasounds per day
-- High-Risk Resident Clinic half-day per week, typically 4-7 patients
-- Review and round on inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients with residents
-- Provide inpatient consults and phone consultations with in-person evaluations as clinically needed
-- Supervise residents in high-risk OB clinic as needed
-- Interpret and manage ultrasound services and related consults
-- Locum is expected to interpret ultrasounds
-- No delivery coverage required
-- No GYN surgery required
-- No GYN call coverage required
