Coverage Details

Shift Details
-- Clinic hours are 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM with call coverage after hours
-- Inpatient call is 24/7, starting and ending at 8:00 AM
-- 24-hour weekend call coverage required
-- Outpatient clinic hours during shift: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM
-- Inpatient call and after-hours call required

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Neurology
-- Active Michigan license
-- Provider must be local; no flights
-- Active DEA confirmation
-- BLS, ACLS

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Radiologic Exam Interpretation
-- Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap)
-- EEG
-- Brain Death Examination
-- Evoked Potentials

Assignment Details
-- 6-8 patients per day
-- EMR: Cerner
-- EEG reads performed for inpatient and outpatient cases as needed
-- When there are no outpatients scheduled or not for the entire time, provider is expected to provide onsite hospital coverage
-- Immunization records required for clearance from occupational health: Hep B, MMR, Varicella vaccine series or immune titer; Flu for current season; Covid documentation; TB within 12 months; TDAP within the last 10 years
