Neurohospitalist Locums Job in New York | General Service | ASAP and Ongoing
One of our partnering facilities is seeking inpatient Neurology locums coverage beginning as soon as September/October and ongoing. Coverage needed for at least two weeks out of each month, rounding and following up on general Neurology patients. The team is well supported with Neurology residents and attendings, as well as a dedicated stroke service. Candidates with an active New York license and 1-2 weeks per month availability are encouraged to apply.
Job Details/Requirements:--Coverage needed: 1-2 weeks per month ongoing
--Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm
--Some weekends may be required- weekend coverage involves attesting resident notes, no consults or rounding independently required Saturday-Sunday
--No night call
--Patient volume: 5-6 new consults per day + follow ups
--Responsibilities: Neurology consults only, no procedures and no stroke coverage
--Procedures and stroke call handled by residents and separate stroke service
--Active New York license and DEA
--Local candidates preferred by not required

--Credentialing timeframe: 60 days average
