Location: Alabama
Start: November 2026- May 2027
Duration: 10 shifts a month
Shift: 24-hour shifts

Job Description:
We are seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) for a locum tenens position in Mobile, Alabama. The NNP will be responsible for the care of neonates in a Level II NICU and well-baby nursery. This position involves managing infants born at 32 weeks or above and those requiring 24-48 hours of ventilator support. The role requires excellent clinical skills in neonatal care, especially for high-risk deliveries, including C-sections.

Facility Overview:
--220 beds

Responsibilities:
--Provide full NICU coverage, managing all neonates in the unit
--Responsible for all patient rounds and assessments (physicians may be up to 1 hour away)
--Attend C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries
--Work alongside strong nursing and medical assistant staff at both locations
--Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation
--NNP-to-Patient Ratio:
--Ratio varies, but the NNP will be responsible for all neonates in the NICU.
--Call: Out-of-house call

Requirements:
--Alabama state licensure (can be pending, but must be obtained within 4-8 weeks)
--Prefer candidates with current Alabama licensure but will consider providers willing to license for this need.
--Must have neonatal care experience, particularly with ventilator management and high-risk deliveries.
--Available for the dates: April 12-16 and April 21-26
--Emergency credentialing available
