Pediatric PNP Locums Job in Connecticut | ASAP Start | Ongoing Coverage | 3-Month Blocks

We are seeking a locums Pediatric PNP to provide ongoing pediatric primary care services at a well-established children’s care organization in Connecticut.

Details/Requirements:
--Start: ASAP
--Assignment: Ongoing, with initial 3-month blocks
--Schedule: 1 shift per week. open to the day of the week 
--Shift: 8 hours onsite + approximately 2 hours of remote work
--Credentialing: Approximately 30 days
--Work collaboratively with nursing, clinical, and psychiatric teams to provide comprehensive care to children and adolescents.
--Opportunity to practice independently within the scope of Connecticut APRN licensure.
--Connecticut APRN license
--2–5 years of post-graduate pediatric primary care experience
--Ability to practice independently within scope of licensure
--Controlled Substance Registration
--Current or ability to obtain BLS and First Aid certification
--Strong pediatric and adolescent clinical knowledge

Responsibilities:
--Perform age-appropriate medical histories, physicals, and evaluations.
--Assess and diagnose illness and injury and determine appropriate treatment.
--Prescribe and manage medications and other treatment modalities.
--Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic testing.
--Coordinate specialist consultations and follow-up care.
--Manage acute and chronic medical concerns and respond to emergent situations.
--Provide wellness care, immunizations, medication management, and preventive services.
--Coordinate care following hospitalizations and other transitions in care.
--Educate patients, families, and staff regarding treatment plans and healthcare needs.
--Maintain accurate medical records and required regulatory documentation.
--Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity and quality of care.
