Job Description

A growing nonprofit behavioral health organization near Des Moines, Iowa is hiring an experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) for a rare opportunity that combines direct patient care with strategic leadership — shaping the future of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and families.

Position Highlights
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on care planning and crisis support while leading clinical strategy, program development, and service innovation
  • Serve on the executive leadership team, designing and implementing evidence-based, trauma-informed care models primarily for adolescent patients
  • Anticipated 20% direct patient care providing medication management for adolescents in a residential facility
  • Up to 5 weeks' vacation and full benefits
  • Starting salary of $150,000-$175,000, depending on experience

    Qualifications:
  • Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
  • 3+ years leadership or program development and prior management of direct reports preferred
  • Experience with youth, families, or high-risk populations preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills

    Living in Des Moines, Iowa
