Coverage Details
-- 18-week assignment
-- Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
-- 1-hour break daily
-- Last patient scheduled at 4:30 PM
-- No call required
Requirements
-- Master of Science degree
-- Advanced Nurse Practitioner certification through the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
-- Active Texas RN license
-- Recognition by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
-- BLS certification required
-- ACLS certification required
-- Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Unit or Telemetry experience required
-- Cardiac rehabilitation experience required
-- Outpatient experience required
-- Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency - Highly Preferred
Assignment Details
-- Outpatient cardiac rehabilitation clinic setting
-- No hospital bedside care
-- No procedures required
-- No cath lab responsibilities
-- Utilize cardiac telemetry monitoring
-- Coordinate care with exercise physiologists, rehabilitation technicians, and respiratory therapists
-- Provide supervision of rehabilitation technicians
-- Highest patient volume on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday (approximately 16 patients per day)
-- New patient intakes on Tuesday and Friday (approximately 2–4 patients per day)
-- Orientation and training with the current Nurse Practitioner requested prior to start
-- Regular exposure to bloodborne pathogens and body substances (Category I exposure)
-- EMR: Scottcare Versacare Software
