Urgent Care APP Locums Job in Virginia | 3 Shifts/Week | Beginning As Soon As Credentialed - Ongoing | Assignment #117037

Coverage Details
-- Coverage dates: Start ASAP until perm hired
-- Credentialing time frame: 60 to 90 days
-- Coverage for 4 locations 

Shift Details
-- Clinics are open 7 days per week, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
-- Shifts are 12+ hours depending upon patient flow
-- 3 shifts per week
-- Weekend coverage required

Requirements
-- Board Certified
-- Active Virginia license
-- Active BLS certification
-- Active DEA
-- At least 1 year of experience in an ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care setting
-- Clean background with no malpractice or license issues

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Laceration repair including simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling
-- Incision and drainage (I&D) including packing
-- Foreign body removal
-- Minor burn management
-- Skin lesion care
-- Orthopedic and injury stabilization
-- Splinting and casting
-- Joint reduction
-- Diagnostic and point-of-care testing
-- X-ray interpretation
-- Electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluation
-- Point-of-care lab interpretation including rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose testing
-- Epistaxis management including anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery
-- Cerumen impaction removal
-- Airway support including nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Clinic
-- 100% outpatient
-- Average patient volume varies by clinic and may range from 25 to 50 patients per day
-- EMR: Epic
-- No call coverage required
-- Coverage location includes multiple locations across the Virginia area
