- 12-hour shifts -- 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am; 24-hour shifts possible
- Minimum 12-hour break required after a 24-hour call shift
- Approximately 175 deliveries per month -- about 3,000 births per year
- Inpatient hospital setting -- privileges required
- Duties include rounding, deliveries, triage, and high-risk stabilization
- C-sections required
- Ongoing coverage -- wide open scheduling
