Coverage Details
-- Credentialing timeframe: 90 days
-- Ideal call shifts would be 7 consecutive 24-hour days or greater, open to shorter durations

-- 24-hour call shifts, 6AM - 6AM unless specified otherwise

-- Board Certified
-- Active Missouri license or IMLC
-- ACLS

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Low risk pregnancy
-- High risk pregnancy
-- FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
-- Routine delivery
-- Vaginal delivery
-- Decision-making for C-section
-- Complicated delivery
-- C-section
-- Multiple births
-- Abruptions
-- Surgical gynecology
-- Operative/major gynecology procedures (includes diagnostic) such as ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's

Assignment Details
-- Admissions required
-- Patients per shift: 6.7 
-- Beds in department: 18
-- Rounding: Assigned patients
-- PEDs Level: 3
-- Average deliveries per year: 600
-- Support Staff: 24/7 CRNA, RT 24/7, 1st Assist Surgical RN, 2 L&D minimum staffing increased as needed, 2 NICU, 1 OB Tech
-- Midwife backup support as scheduled
-- Primarily solo coverage; for extended contract dates greater than one week, midwife primary call with locum providing backup call is an option
-- OB GYN emergency call patient consults
-- EMR: Epic
