  • Avg 3 patients per shift -- approx 1 admission per 24-hour period
  • Approx 4 phone consults per 24-hour call period
  • Call only coverage -- no clinic responsibilities
  • OB pager call -- deliveries and C-sections required
  • Beeper call with 30-minute response time required
  • Avg 276 deliveries per year
  • 10% call back rate
  • Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
